Fietsen is een van de meest toegankelijke manieren om actief te blijven. Je kunt rustig recreatief fietsen, fanatiek wielrennen, mountainbiken in het bos of binnen trainen op een rollenbank. Maar zodra je vaker gaat fietsen, merk je al snel dat de juiste spullen veel verschil maken.

Racefiets, mountainbike of gewone fiets?

Let bij het kiezen op pasvorm, ventilatie, gewicht en verstelbaarheid. Een helm die prettig zit, draag je ook sneller consequent. Vervang een helm na een flinke val, ook als je aan de buitenkant weinig schade ziet.

Fietskleding: comfort tijdens langere ritten

Voor korte ritten heb je geen speciale fietskleding nodig. Maar als je langer of vaker fietst, kan fietskleding veel comfort geven. Een fietsbroek met zeem helpt tegen zadelpijn, een ademend fietsshirt voert zweet af en een windjack beschermt tegen kou of wind.

Ook bij fietsen werkt kleding in laagjes goed. Een basislaag voert vocht af, een shirt of vest geeft warmte en een buitenlaag beschermt tegen wind of regen. Zo kun je makkelijker omgaan met wisselende omstandigheden.
